Can I use any solenoid to replace my broken solenoid on my 1982 Yamaha Maxim 1100cc?
I am about to purchase a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 1100cc. It needs a new solenoid, and they sell them on eBay. Can I use a different solenoid (same bike different year [1983]), like say a solenoid from a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ650? Or do I have to buy the exact solenoid for this bike?
