Do you think John Cena would be a main eventer if he still had his rappet gimmick.?

I know so many people say that they hate the current Cena and they wish he would go back to being a rapper. I do aswell, i mean he could actually wrestle and do well, he was good at being a heel and cheating to make it unpredictable and the best part was that he was TV-14 like he would swear and do all that in his raps. However, I dont think that the rapper Cena would be a main eventer and a wwe champ. I mean it would seem too much of a gimmick and a joke if he was on top as a rapper. All of the WWE greatest main eventers never had full on gimmicks (except the undertaker) e.g. Hogan, rock, austin, edge, hhh, hbk etc. They all were unique but their gimmicks werent as big and different as say gangrel, boogeyman or the hurricane. So i think that if he stayed a rapper, cena would of never become a top dog or would of become big and looked stupid. Sort of like the ringmaster to stone cold steve austin, stone cold needed to change as did cena. What do you think?
