Why wasn't the Miz punished?

Forgive me for being pedantic, I personally loved seeing this last night. However, after the various kendo stick shots and the chair shot to John Cena's unprotected head, I couldn't help but think about the policy that WWE had against unprotected headshots? There's a rumour Undertaker and HHH were briefly suspended for doing so at WM27, may be a lie, but I always thought the WWE had a policy against these attacks anyway? Can anybody divulge?
